Sketchy photos of iPhone 5S packaging show redesigned home button

Apple’s supply chain is so vast that despite doubling down on secrecy, the company can’t contain leaks emerging from its Asian partners. Today, images of what appears to be the iPhone 5S packaging have been leaked by a Chinese site.
The images show a white colored iPhone box with the iPhone 5S running iOS 7. The colorful iOS 7 grid of icons is placed on a solid black background, which is unusual since Apple generally includes a proper wallpaper for iOS devices in all its marketing material including the box.
What is, however, the most notable thing about the image is the omission of the square in the middle of the home button as well as the strange silver ring around it, as you can see below.

With all the speculation surrounding the inclusion of a fingerprint sensor, specifically on the home button of the next iPhone, it seems as if the silver ring is a hint at the embedded sensor. Also interesting is that the same silver circles appeared in the iPhone event press invite, and we all knowApple likes to hide subtle clues in its invites to future announcements.

iPhone 5S lines have already started

With four days to go for Apple’s iPhone event, and two weeks to go for the likely launch of new iPhones, some folks have already started lining up outside Apple’s flagship Fifth Avenue retail store in New York City, according to a report fromMacRumors.
People used to start lining up outside Apple’s retail stores a week before the new iPhone went on sale. So it quite bizarre that people have started lining up so early this year.
People usually try to take the first few spot in the line for promotion purposes. For example, when iPhone 5 was to go on sale last year, the first and second person in the line were promoting their social media app.

This year, it doesn’t seem to be any different. The first few folks to start lining up for the event are representatives from Cincinnati-basedSellYourMac, an online site that buys and sells used Apple products.
Two representatives from Cincinnati-based SellYourMac arrived on the scene today to begin what they hope will be a two-week campout, only to find that they were not the first people in line at the Fifth Avenue store, which generally serves as one of the most high-profile launch sites due to its iconic design and 24-hour operation. Two other campers claimed their spots at the front of the line last night, settling in for the long wait.
According to Sell Your Mac’s Jon Murphy, the campers have yet to have any discussions with Apple’s store staff about their plans, but the line is forming in its usual spot on the plaza outside the store’s landmark glass cube.
People who are get the first spot in the line have also managed to get sponsorships to promote brands or sold their spot, so that could be also be the motivation. We also expect Craiglist to be littered with offers ranging from $100 to $999 to stand in line for a fee or sell a spot.

Cydia Tweak: Celeste 2 Launches For Jailbroken iDevices

The anticipated sequel to the Celeste jailbreak tweak, Celeste 2, is now available to download in the Cydia Store.
As a reminder, like its original Celeste 2 allows jailbreakers to transfer files between iDevices using Bluetooth. It’s also possible to transfer files between desktop computers and iDevices, provided your PC or Mac has Bluetooth built in. Files that can be transferred include images, videos, songs, documents, contacts, and more.
Now, however, as iDownloadBlog notes, Celeste 2 is available in the Cydia Store. In terms of comparing the original and the sequel, the website explains:
The best part of Celeste 2 is its slick integration with a variety of different apps. It works almost like a built in stock feature in iOS. You can share files from a variety of different apps, including Photos, Notes, Music, iBooks, Contacts, Safari, Dropbox, and more. The send dialogue is tightly integrated within each app’s “sharing” option, making for a fairly consistent experience across the board.
I should also mention that a large part of the Celeste 2 upgrade is the fact that the app now uses the iOS Bluetooth stack. This means that users can continue to stream music over Bluetooth while simultaneously transferring files. For someone like me, who often streams music via Bluetooth, this is a big deal.
For the next few weeks, jailbreakers can download Celeste 2 in the Cydia Store for $6.99, after which it’ll be priced slightly higher at $9.99. However, if you own the original Celeste jailbreak tweak, Celeste 2 is available as a free update.

iPhone 5C: Leaked images show finished plastic handset with pink and yellow covers

Leaked images of what could be the iPhone 5C
We are another week closer to Apple's iPhone launch - and more reported leaks are appearing.
Today we are bringing you some pictures of what could be the new iPhone 5C - with more colour options than we've seen before.
The photos comes from website iApps.im, and it says that the pictures show iPhone 5C units in packaging.
It's difficult to tell if the pictures are real, but they do seem to lineup with Apple’s past patterns.
As with the 2012 iPod nano, the iPhone 5C seems to have a matching cover and wallpaper cover.

We can see that there are some pretty pastel colours available - including pink and yellow.
The iPhone 5C is rumoured to be the low-cost handset, aimed at emerging markets.
It's cover is said to be a plastic polycarbonate panel to cut costs - but should be around the same size and weight as the current iPhone 5.
The iPhone 5C is expected to be announced along with the iPhone 5S on September 10.
