Eclipse: Jailbreak Tweak brings Night Theme to iOS 7

If you’re a fan of Tweetbot’s Night Theme, then you’re going to love the new jailbreak tweak called Eclipse.
Eclipse, a highly anticipated jailbreak tweak brings Night mode across the entire iOS.
The night theme changes the color of iOS’ user interface to a darker color scheme as you can see below, which makes it a lot easier to read at night rather than being blinded by the white screen.
Apps like the Messages, Settings, Safari, App Store, Clock app etc look quite good quite good in the darker color scheme.

Eclipse4
Safari
Apps like Calendar, Music don’t look good as the dark theme is not applied to all the elements of the UI.

You can also give lighter colored wallpapers a dark tint by enabling the “Darken Wallpapers” toggle.

You can also enable the orange tint for the font, or darken UIViews. However, the apps don’t look good with the darkened UI views, so I would recommend keeping that disabled and to be fair to the developer he does warn about it as well.
The developer plans to add new features in the future such as automatic enabling and disabling of the night mode based on the time, more color options, Activator/Flipswitch toggles (which would be very useful to enable or disable the tweak). He also plans to add iPad compatibility in the future.
It would have been nice if it was possible to enable or disable the tweak in an app using a gesture (like Tweetbot’s two finger swipe up or down to enable or disable the Night theme).

Eclipse is available on Cydia for $0.99.
