How to back up the Messages?
Step 1: Download and install the iTunes.
Step 2: Connect your iPhone with Pc and open up the iFunbox.
Step 3: From the left Panel, Click on “Raw File System”
Step 4: Navigate to “Var/ Mobile/ Library/ SMS” and copy the “SMS.db”.
Step 5: Save it to your Desktop. This is the backup file of all your messages.
How to restore the Messages?
After backing up all messages, you can restore, update or jailbreak your iPhone. After doing so, you can follow the method below to restore your messages on iPhone.
Step 1: Connect your iDevice with PC and run the iFunbox. Navigate to “Var/ Mobile/ Library/ SMS” and delete all the files present here.
Step 2: Now, Copy the “SMS.db” which you already saved on your Desktop during Backup process.
Step 3: After copying the file, don’t launch the SMS application on your iPhone.
Step 4: Connect your iPhone with iTunes and Click on “Backup Now”
Step 5: Once you have successfully backup your iPhone, Click on the “Restore” Option next to it.
